Anger builds in hard-hit areas

FEMA was designed to implement a military dictatorship. In such a dictatorship, "helping" people is the least of this demonic agency's concerns. Whoever is running it now, let me be the first to say, is "doin' a heckuva job!"

I think if reports are true that Dubya is drinking again, he will soon go for the whole magilla and declare martial law. We'll have to wait and see if anyone salutes. The number of open and obvious rural "Booshreich" storm troopers seems to be declining even in this benighted region and that may be because of $2.79 per gallon gasoline. No one ever thought "Dear Leader" would ever demand that his minions pay this amount to fill up their thirsty SUVs and pickups.

Hurricane Video and Audio Feeds

http://www.weatherserver.net/hurricanecenter/

I'm getting Channel 13 out of Houston. I can't get the other two stations in Houston to stream. Basically, I-45 is a parking lot stretching 100 miles NW of Houston. Sucks to be an evacuee. Sucks to be a hurricane for that matter. And now it looks like it's going to miss Houston anyhow.

This guy is now saying, since he wrote this, that the Japanese mafia (Yakuza) created and guided Katrina to avenge Hiroshima, having acquired the weather modification capability from Russia.

I find these sorts of theories a bit more plausible than that it is "God's wrath" on the sins of New Orleans. First of all, why did He leave the French Quarter unscathed? An all-powerful god would have a better aim than that.

The Voice of the White House

http://www.tbrnews.org/Archives/a1832.htm

September 14, 2005: “When he is not making useless and cosmetic trips to New Orleans for photo ops, the President is literally screaming with rage in the West Wing because the media has dared to criticize him, has forced him to fire the worthless head of FEMA (a political friend and supporter) and also because he is very obviously has lost any black voter support and, not unsurprisingly to say, is losing a great deal support from the Christian Right because of the media-fueled condemnations of the total lack of Government response to the Katrina disaster.

Forced to eat crow over Brown, and savagely attacked in what he thought (via Rove) was a docile and controlled media, Bush, who is not rational at best, has been demanding a “whole new ballgame” from his aides, one of whom gave me a memo containing so-called “talking points” for selected staff leaders.

Since blacks will never support him, they want to find “any means necessary” to exclude them from voting rolls, mainly by passing a Federal law that no one can vote without possessing, and showing, an official photo ID card, be it a driver’s license or a State ID card (which will be made expensive and hard to get)

Also ex-convicts, called by Rove as “a potential Democrat recruiting base” will be prohibited in voting in any Federal election, now and forever.

Turn all Federal and state welfare programs over to the private sector.

Establish a “Volunteer Corps” of professional paramilitary units such as Blackwater Security ( a ripe bunch of chubby, vicious, ex-military and sacked dim-wit and sadistic cops) that will act as “support groups” for State and local agencies in case of further national emergencies. They can rob, loot and pillage and the Army and civilian authorities will not be held esponsible, just like their Presidential-sponsored and protected role in Iraq, where they behaved like drunken SS men in a Jewish ghetto.

Reinstitute a ‘limited draft’ to restock the badly shopworn and depleted current active military. Recruitment of volunteers for the Iraqi bloodbath has fallen to next to nothing.

With a new army, launch preemptive strikes against putative “nuclear enemies” of the United States. Top of the list is Iran who dares to defy Bush and is selling huge amounts of their oil to the PRC, one of the Bush people’s most perceived enemies. (The Chinese have warned Bush that they will use nuclear weapons on us if we interfere in any Chinese military action against Taiwan. Bush takes this as a personal insult and threat and when this happens, he demands the denigration and destruction of the source, be it a television commentator, a newspaper or a public figure. Or, to our peril, an aggressive country with nuclear weaponry and the ability to deliver them to the continental U.S.)

Bush is, in my opinion (and the opinion of more than a few here inside the Beltway) a national disaster rivaling Katrina and, in his death throes, will take down as many of whom he perceives as his opponents as he can. At the present time, considering his plummeting polls, (which is causing him daily spastic colon attacks) this will certainly mean most of the United States (except for the Bible Belt freakos and proto-fascists), Chavez, Putin, North Korea and many others.

On a less serious note, someone sent a big box of free toilet paper to the White House recently. Of course the Secret Service X-rayed it to be certain that it was not just another explosive device…(17 this year alone) and guess what? The picture of our Glorious Leader was imprinted on every segment! Naturally, the order came to destroy this and find out who was printing it, for the purpose of punishment. So far, the bumblers can’t figure out who sent it or who had it made and about twenty rolls vanished before they could be officially burnt. No doubt they will be put to good use. The President may not meet his Maker but he certainly will find yesterday’s dinner.”

"Telling It Like It Is!" (Not)

This email came as spam to me with the title "Telling It Like It Is!"

Commentary by Ashtyn Chalmers  (free lance writer that lives in Texas)

The below commentary by Ashtyn Chalmers is in response to Anne Rice's article in the New York Times, September 4, 2005 "Do You Know What It Means to Lose New Orleans?"
She gives a rambling history of the city and it's people, flavor and music.  But it was the last of the article that got Ms.Chalmers attention.
"But to my country I want to say this: During this crisis you failed us.  You looked down on us; you dismissed our victims; you dismissed us. You want our Jazz Fest, you want our Mardi Gras, you want our cooking and our music.  Then when you saw us in real trouble, when you saw a tiny minority preying on the weak among us, you called us "Sin City," and turned your backs."

***********

Response by Ashtyn Chalmers
"Don't blame our country for not coming to the aid of New Orleans.  We had officers, fire fighters and military personnel leave our city within hours of the first news reports.
No one knew how bad it was going to get.  No one, except maybe your own city mayor who seems quick to point his finger at our government.  His finger needs to be pointed directly at himself for failing to get the poor people out of a city that has been told repeatedly that the levees wouldn't withstand a category 4 storm.
The liberals want so badly to make this President Bushes fault.
They so badly want to blame the government because that's what they do best.  The blame lies squarely on Mayor Nagin's administration for not caring enough about New Orleans poor to get them to safety before the storm hit.  If Mayor Nagin's excuse is that he had no idea it was going to be this bad, then how dare he or anyone else expect our government to have known it.
And when our country did come to the aide of New Orleans, they were robbed and fired upon.  There is absolutely no excuse for that kind of behavior.  There's not a person alive who judges anyone in those dire conditions for trying to survive by taking food and water and items for their children.  But there is absolutely no excuse for stealing money, jewelry, televisions, arm loads of clothing and other items.  The opportunity presented itself and the lawless took it.
Your mayor explains that away by saying it was all the drug addicts trying to get their drugs.  I don't think the looters should have been shot.  They can't help themselves. I think their parents should be shot for not raising them with any decency, morals or values.
Our country is giving everything from our money, our belongings, our homes and our time to the refugees of this storm.  And the black activists want to play word games about the word "refugee".   If you look up the word in the dictionary you will find that a refugee is "one who flees to a place of safety."  There's nothing political in that word but some want to make it political because that is their agenda.
I've been in your city many times.  I've seen how the blacks are treated or rather mistreated.  I was a police officer for 25 years and I know very well how biased, ignorant and bigoted people can be.  I know that the actions of a few become a stereotype for many.
So a few whites are judging all the people in the Superdome to have been drug addicts, prostitutes and criminals and they don't want them in our nice white neighborhoods.  And a few blacks are judging the whites as bigoted and biased.
Our city has taken in about 100,000, mostly black, New Orleans refugees into our Astrodome, George R. Brown Convention Center and Reliant Center.  The largest majority of the people volunteering are white.  And the largest majority of the people bringing donations of food and clothing are white.  We even have volunteers picking up the refugees garbage they leave laying around.
A friend of mine is a fire fighter and has been in New Orleans for the past six days.  He said 99% of the volunteer rescuers there are white and 99% of the people being rescued are black.  He also said he doesn't see Jesse Jackson, Shelia Jackson-Lee or Al Sharpton anywhere in sight.
So don't tell me we turned our backs on you.

Cover-up: toxic waters 'will make New Orleans unsafe for a decade'

You know it's bad when not only the dogs drop dead within 15 minutes, but also I've read that mosquitoes cannot breed in the brackish and somewhat too salty waters.

The most famous restaurant of 20th Century Longview, Texas, was known for its "New Orleans-style seafood." This is not likely to be a good marketing strategy for fishmongers of the future.

"I also came to the conclusion that, given the technology of modern warfare, war is inevitably a war against children, against civilians. When you look at the ratio of civilian to military dead, it changes from 50-50 in World War II to 80-20 in Vietnam, maybe as high as 90-10 today. Do you know this Italian war surgeon, Gino Strada? He wrote Green Parrots: A War Surgeon's Diary. He was doing war surgery in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other places. Ninety percent of the people he operated on were civilians. When you face that fact, war is now always a war against civilians, and so against children. No political goal can justify it, and so the great challenge before the human race in our time is to solve the problems of tyranny and aggression, and do it without war. [He laughs quietly.] A very complex and difficult job, but something that has to be faced -- and that's what accounts for my becoming involved in antiwar movements ever since the end of World War II."

GREEKS BEARING GIFTS

http://fromthewilderness.com/free/ww3/090605_greeks_gifts.shtml

The real costs of a culture of greed

http://www.tos4truth.org/cgi-bin/readart.cgi?ArtNum=11422&Disp=0

My answer to Robert Scheer's article is that, as we
learned from the character Gordon Gekko in the movie
"Wall Street," "Greed is good!" and indeed why we
fought and won the Cold War against the evil godless
commies. All those who disagreed with that should have
left America and emigrated to one of the Warsaw Pact
countries of the Soviet Bloc.
Also, obviously all of what has happened recently is
Bill Clinton's fault, as is everything else that has
gone wrong since January 2001. That cannot be said
often enough. You need to repeat it to yourself at
least once a day if no one else tells you first. <
/sarcasm>

One thing the political operatives at the highest
levels of both parties have learned since Jimmy Carter
used to take responsibility for "stuff" that happened
on "his watch" is to NEVER, EVER take responsibility
for anything. Always shift the blame. "Mistakes were
made" as Reagan used to say.

The Cold War involved two sides of extremists--extreme
socialists and extreme capitalists. The extreme
capitalists won (and have now marshalled the shock
troops of the "endtime" Armaggedonist Christians
behind them) and the American middle class is history
because of it. Our grand experiment in multicultural
representative democracy is over.

As the ancients used to say, "Est modus in rebus."
There is a moderation in all things. Words of wisdom
that the American electorate cast to the
hurricane-force winds. And now that the elections are
controlled by the computers of these extremists, there
will never be any voting them out.

It is fascinating to watch the nightmare unfold. As I
have already nearly died and gone to the spirit world
(the existence of which I now have no doubt), I know I
have no permanent home here anyhow. We are all
"pilgrims and strangers" upon this bizarre little
planet onto which we were born.

Lessons from Hell

http://www.thetruthseeker.co.uk/article.asp?ID=3566

The only quarrel I would have with this is that Osama bin Laden is still "Al-CIAda" and not genuine "Islamists" bent on "terrorizing" the West. He and his henchmen work for the West. They are the "problem" in the classic "problem, reaction, solution" dialectic.

Whenever you hear someone "catapult the propaganda" over a particular personality (nowadays it's "Al-Zarqawi"), you can safely assume that the ballyhooed bogeyman is in the employ of Western intelligence agencies (including the Mossad, although it is not Western in terms of geography).

BREAKING: Bush banning all media from New Orleans

by John in DC - 9/07/2005 03:07:00 PM

Bob Brigham has just reported - and this is why we need OUR folks on the ground, to report this stuff - the military is banning all reporters from New Orleans. Outrageous. If you kill a couple thousand people, you definitely want to keep the media and the public from finding out.

Bush is literally trying to hide the bodies. This is beyond outrageous.

They're trying to hide the bodies. Who the hell does Bush think he is? So much for the First Amendment, so much for the Constitution, so much for a democratic government.

Hey, Democrats, time to speak up LOUDLY. This is what military regimes do, what dictatorships do, it's not what democracies do. We don't hide our dead bodies in our to spare our leaders their well-due shame.

I hope the media is all over this.

PS And Kyle is still on his way as our correspondent - we're not gonna let some petty dictator stop us.

US ruling elite rejects policy shift to confront disaster

http://www.wsws.org/articles/2005/sep2005/hurr-s07.shtml

My answer to this would be this is why we fought the Cold War, so "world socialists" couldn't intervene to help the downtrodden masses. "World socialists" were depicted all through my formative years as godless commies straight from the pit of hell. The average Joes and Janes of America sided with their elite oppressors and now must live (or just subsist, in many cases) with the consequences.

‘Operation Ophelia’ Begins In United States as Plan for ‘Major Cataclysmic Event’ Put Into Effect, NORTHCOM Assumes Control over Entire Country

http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index819.htm

Sorcha Faal's name for her site reminds me of a line from a Billy Joel song I've outlined in boldface two sizes larger than the rest of the type below:

You have to learn to pace yourself
Pressure
You're just like everybody else
Pressure
You've only had to run so far
So good
But you will come to a place
Where the only thing you feel
Are loaded guns in your face
And you'll have to deal with
Pressure
You used to call me paranoid
Pressure
But even you can not avoid
Pressure
You turned the tap dance into your crusade
Now here you are with your faith
And your Peter Pan advice
You have no scars on your face
And you cannot handle pressure
All grown up and no place to go
Psych 1, Psych 2
What do you know?
All your life is Channel 13
Sesame Street
What does it mean?
Pressure
Pressure
Don't ask for help
You're all alone
Pressure
You'll have to answer
To your own
Pressure
I'm sure you'll have some cosmic rationale
But here you are in the ninth
Two men out and three men on
Nowhere to look but inside
Where we all respond to
Pressure
Pressure
All your life is Time Magazine
I read it too
What does it mean?
Pressure
I'm sure you'll have some cosmic rationale
But here you are with your faith
And your Peter Pan advice
You have no scars on your face
And you cannot handle pressure
Pressure, pressure
One, two, three, four
Pressure

A few posts below this one I said the New Orleanians had better get concerned if our government began calling them "insurgents." I was joking.

Little did I know the term had already been applied to them earlier in the week by the U.S. Army. As a Waylon Jennings song once said, "This is gettin' funny, but there ain't nobody laughin'."

Kanye West criticizes Bush on TV benefit show

http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20050902_katrina_houston_update_050902/?hub=CTVNewsAt11

I think this is as much a class as a race issue, but this rapper has a point. I've never heard of him, but then I ain't into rap. If you are, that's fine. Just turn down the volume a little bit when you come near me in traffic. If your car is vibrating, it's too loud. But then these people probably have a considerable loss of hearing. Vibrations are felt, though, as much as heard.

Evacuees?

Where did this term come from? I do not like it.

When I think of evacuating, I think of emptying one's bowels. This is even more inappropriate since so much of the "white wing" of the GOP has termed New Orleans as "the colon of America" over the years.

What is wrong with calling those seeking shelter from a storm "refugees"? That's always what they've been called before.

God help them if someone ever starts calling them "insurgents" (from the "storm surge").

Also, saying they have merely evacuated implies they wil soon have something to which to return. I think the majority of them will never be returning. They are not only refugees. They are migrants within their own country. They will eventually be "resettled' in new communities.

Race Hygiene: Three Bush Family Alliances

http://www.tarpley.net/bush3.htm

I actually remember when Old Man Bush was accused of being "pro-choice" and this is why. It is not much of an exaggeration to say he and his family have always wanted the "lesser races" to "choose death."

The sainted Margaret Sanger was also a eugenicist. People who are into eugenics are very sick puppies.

There is a saying which goes "there's so much good in the worst of us and so much bad in the best of us that it hardly behooves any of us to talk about the rest of us."

On the other hand, the world does seem to have too many people. Mother Nature will take care of that over the next few decades. I feel sorry for a lot of the little ones about to be born. It's too bad they could not have remained in the spirit world. My own outlook at this point is that life has been interesting, but I would not want others to grieve if mine ended prematurely. I know there is a better realm beyond this life from the experience I had when I nearly died in November 2003. There is only so much pleasure you can have in bodily form. The pain makes up for the pleasure as time goes on. The spirit realm is something we know is out there, but cannot quite grasp or comprehend unless we nearly die. I know it's out there. And angels are among us. I know because one has already brought me back from the point of death.

World Wide Depression Feared ... US Military Leaders Prepare to Seal Borders

http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index817.htm
This Russian woman living in England is a compelling writer. What adds to her apocalyptic articles is the fact that English is her second language and so she has a different way of phrasing things. There is no doubt that the language group into which you are born heavily influences your Weltanschauung ('world view' -- just showing off my German there). Go to her home page and read about Canada seeking military protection from Russia as its trade war with its bullying neighbor to the south intensifies. I don't blame the Canadians one bit. It is reported that while the hurricane was hitting, Dark Lord Cheney was in Alberta scouting out the oil tarsands. Although it is not "light sweet crude" Canada has the second largest oil reserves in the world.

Today hundreds of thousands of starving and homeless refugees roam the American Heartland, but as the world has seen from countless examples throughout history of those living under Fascist Military Rule, these Americans have totally subjugated themselves to believing that their solutions lie in giving money to their elites and trusting in their Military to restore and keep order.  It is almost as if these strange people have forgotten what their country was founded for in the first place and the words of warning passed on to them from their First President, George Washington, and who had warned them:

"Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master."

Mercenaries dispatched to New Orleans

Trying to accomplish there what they couldn't in Fallujah, I guess. One upside for the mercs is that there may not be any bridges left on which to string them up and set them on fire.

You've got to hear this also if you can. At one point, he was going so ballistic I thought the FEMA authorities would nab him and remove him to Gitmo.

At this point, he realized he needed to back off, I think. That's when he suddenly blurted out, out of context and somewhat inappropriately, I thought, "I supported the Iraq war."

50,000 Dead as New Orleans Declared ‘Dead City’, United States Military Orders Elite Special Forces from Iraq to Restore Order ...

http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index815.htm

She's got a point. We see dead bodies floating around in the movies all the time.

I am now leaning toward the theory that there really is technology to strengthen and guide hurricanes. I don't know whether our government did this or some other one, if indeed it wasn't just an "act of God."

Certainly 9-11 was an 'inside job' with heavy involvement by the Israelis. The Israelis are not too happy with the U.S.'s performance to date in Iraq and did not like being forced out of Gaza a few weeks ago. Maybe this is payback for not doing our job as their "Hessians" in an efficient manner.
