Texas Becomes a Majority-Minority State

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050811/ap_on_re_us/census_minorities

That sounds funny. How can a minority be a majority at the same time? Everything's Orwellian these days. Actually, let me break it down for y'all. We have a plurality of "Anglos" (as the "Hispanics" call us, even though the "majority" of us are not descended from the English) followed by a rapidly-exploding population of so-called "Hispanics" who can be anything from black Cubans to lily-white Spaniards followed by the "African-Americans" who used to be called "blacks" and before that "colored" and before that we do not "wanna go there."

I would hope English remains our common language, but it's doubtful that will be the case over the longer term. Already the highest-rated radio station in the Dallas-Fort Worth market is Spanish language KESS-FM 107.9

Whenever we reach the point where it appears to me everyone is speaking Spanish, I will say hasta la vista to this godforsaken state.

Since when did they start using "English" in 'Texses'. Let me think about this for a while, Spanish? Texin? Spanish? Texin?
