Viva la (el?) Elvis!
I was born in Tupelo, and my mom and dad were both at the fair where he came back and performed in 1956 (although they hadn't met each other at that time...) But, the first music I was exposed to were their old Elvis 45s. Along with the Beatles and Sinatra, those recordings have held up amazingly well.
