Robertson's remarks on Chavez shock Texas Baptists

I can tell you that many of the "Texas Baptists" — with whom I used to associate until I came out of that benighted denomination from hell — quietly agreed with Robertson's remarks.

The problem was only that he openly voiced what they were silently thinking.

Baptists in my experience can always be whipped up into a violent Old Testament-style bloodlust. It is scary to witness up-close and personal. I hope and pray I don't ever have to do that again. That's why I have made a covenant with the God of Peace never knowingly to enter into one of their dens of iniquity again. Perhaps I'll slip up accidentally, but in all good conscience I will try to avoid any "church" with the label "Baptist" on it.
